📚 Scholarship Overview
The TAGDev 2.0 programme (2023–2033) is a 10-year initiative designed to strengthen African universities and TVET institutions to drive inclusive, climate-resilient agricultural transformation. It focuses on building a new generation of leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators in agriculture and agribusiness.
At Uganda Martyrs University, the programme offers:
Interdisciplinary academic training combining theory, research, and practical application
Hands-on learning experiences including internships, field attachments, and community engagement
Entrepreneurship development to support job creation and self-employment
Leadership and innovation training for sustainable development impact
Master’s programmes also include research components, ICT integration, and participation in development-oriented projects.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Be a national of Uganda or an eligible East African country
Be from an economically disadvantaged or marginalized background
Be under 30 years for undergraduate and under 35 years for master’s programmes
Meet admission requirements for the selected programme at Uganda Martyrs University
Have completed recent academic qualifications (within the last 4 years for undergraduate applicants)
Demonstrate:
Strong interest in agriculture and agribusiness
Leadership potential
Commitment to community transformation
Willingness to work in agricultural value chains
Priority is given to:
Female applicants

📝 Application Procedure
The application process consists of two mandatory and parallel stages:
1. Apply for Admission at Uganda Martyrs University
Submit an online application through the university admissions system
Upload required academic documents (O-Level and A-Level results or equivalent)
2. Apply for the TAGDev 2.0 Scholarship
Register and activate your account
Log in and navigate to:

Complete and submit the application form

Applicants should prepare:

Applicants must pass a Graduate Admission Test (GAT) for master’s programmes
