2025 Google DeepMind Master's Scholarships at Queen Mary University of London (Fully Funded)

If you're passionate about Computer Science, AI, and Machine Learning, then you may consider the Google DeepMind Master's Scholarships at Queen Mary University of London. Queen Mary University of London aims to encourage students from diverse backgrounds to consider a future in AI and related disciplines and to increase the number of people from groups currently underrepresented in the field. In the spirit of this ambition, applications for the Google DeepMind Scholarships will be considered from students who identify as female and students from Black backgrounds.

 

Available study areas

For the Academic year 204-2025, there will be 3 scholarships and awardees will have the chance to study in any of the following programs (MSc.):

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Computer Science

  • Machine Learning for visual data analytics

  • Computer Games

  • Bioinformatics

  • AI in Biosciences

  • AI for Drug Discovery

  • AI and Machine Learning in Sciences


• There will be 3 awards in Total, with one award reserved for an international student.

 

Google DeepMind Scholarship Benefits

  1. Full tuition fees waiver

  2. Annual living allowance of £17,000

  3. £2,200 conference travel allowance

  4. A one-off equipment grant of £1,700

  5. Support from a Google DeepMind mentor

  6. Opportunities to attend leading Artificial Intelligence academic conferences and Google DeepMind events.

 

Eligibility criteria


To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to be a member of at least one of the under-represented groups mentioned below as well as having an offer to study on one of the programmes listed above.

a. Identify as female

b. Any Black background, including Black British, Black African, Black Caribbean, and mixed Black and another ethnicity.


• Consideration will be given to applicants from groups ‘a’ and ‘b’ for students applying for programmes 1-4 (listed above). For students applying for programmes 5-8 (listed above), priority will be given to applicants from group 'b'.

  • Your Queen Mary Applicant ID Number (provided when you submitted your Master’s application online)

  • A statement of purpose detailing why you should be considered for the award, what motivated your interest in this area of study at Queen Mary University of London, and how you will benefit from the scholarship.


➢ Applicants will receive notification of the outcome by 5 July 2024.
