If you're a young changemaker aged 14 to 20 with a passion for sustainability and climate action, the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens (BKMC) invites you to apply for the 2025 edition of the Your Future in Green Jobs – Mentorship Program.

This dynamic, action-based initiative—supported by Dubai Cares and implemented in collaboration with Plan International and Unbounded Associates—aims to connect your interests and skills with meaningful green career pathways.

🗒️ Programme Summary

🎓 Program Overview

The mentorship program builds upon BKMC’s free, self-paced Your Future in Green Jobs Online Course, which includes six interactive modules exploring climate change, green skills, and career pathways. Completion of this course is a prerequisite for the mentorship program.


In the mentorship phase, 22 selected participants will:

  • Attend expert-led virtual workshops on project management, pitching, presentation skills, and thematic areas such as education, gender, and climate.

  • Receive personalized, one-on-one mentorship from professionals in the green job sector.

  • Design and implement an SDG Micro-Project addressing one or more Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within their local communities.

  • Develop actionable steps toward pursuing a career in the green economy.

  • Enhance networking and project management skills.

🗓️ Program Schedule

  • May 2025: Announcement of selected applicants and onboarding communication

  • June 2025: Virtual Kick-off Ceremony

  • June August 2025: Online expert-led workshops (held live from 14:00 to 16:00 CEST)

  • July December 2025: Independent SDG Micro-Project implementation with ongoing mentorship and BKMC check-ins

  • December 2025: Virtual Graduation Ceremony

✅ Eligibility Criteria

  1. Be aged between 14 and 20 years old.

  2. Have successfully completed the “Your Future in Green Jobs” online course.

  3. Demonstrate motivation and a proven interest in sustainable development and green careers.

  4. Possess a passion for effecting change at both local and global levels.

  5. Have upper-intermediate English language skills.

  6. Ensure access to a stable internet connection.

  7. Be available to participate in online meetings scheduled between 14:00 and 16:00 CEST in their local time zone.

📝 Application Procedure

To apply forYour Future in Green Jobs – Mentorship Program, candidates must:


1. Complete the online application form, providing personal details such as name, contact information, date of birth, address, citizenship, education, language competence, and a short profile description.


2. Articulate professional aspirations and motivation to participate in the program, including field of interest, career aspirations, challenges they are passionate about addressing, and initial SDG Micro-Project ideas.


3. Upload the following documents:

  • A portrait photo (JPEG or PNG format)

  • An introduction video (maximum 1 minute, MP4 or MOV format)

  • A simple form CV (optional)
