✨ Tips for Applicants

  1. Identify and contact a potential supervisor early — Look for a faculty member at Beihang whose research aligns with your interest.

  2. Make your study plan compelling and focused — Over 1,000 words/characters. Use a human-tone narrative: why China, why Beihang, and what you bring in (international exposure, interest in safety engineering). Avoid simply repeating your CV.

  3. Prepare high-quality scans and verified documents — Any unclear uploads may cause rejection. Prioritise document clarity and authenticity.

  4. Show language readiness — If you intend to apply for an English-taught programme, ensure your test scores (IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL 90 / Duolingo 105) are ready or scheduled. If applying for Chinese-taught, ensure HSK Level 5 (or plan one-year Chinese language programme) is addressed.

  5. Mind the deadlines and quotas — Submit as early as possible in the batch system. Late applications will not be accepted. Limited quota means early submission may offer a better chance.

  6. Avoid intermediaries/paid agents — The university explicitly states it does not authorise any intermediary agency for scholarship enrolment. Be careful of false promises.

  7. Highlight your international outlook and unique contribution — The scholarship values international communication and future development potential.

  8. Make sure your major choice is finalised — Once your major and supervisor are accepted, you cannot change them after admission. Ensure you are satisfied with the match you choose.
