This global initiative connects experienced professionals with young eco-entrepreneurs developing impactful environmental projects across five continents. Designed by The DO School Fellowships and funded by Mercedes-Benz, this unique programme empowers mentors to make a real-world difference by supporting innovative, planet-positive leaders of tomorrow.
🎓 Fellowship Summary
Location: Virtual | Global (Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, South America)
Host Institution: The DO School Fellowships, funded by Mercedes-Benz
Study/Engagement Level: Professional mentors (mid to senior level)
Target Group: Professionals with sustainability or business backgrounds
Fields of Focus: Sustainability, entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership
Coverage: Volunteer-based mentorship; no financial compensation
Fellowship Duration: August 2025 – May 2026

💡 Fellowship Overview
The mentorship component of the beVisioneers Fellowship is central to its impact. In 2025, the programme will support 1,000 young Fellows, each matched with a dedicated mentor. Mentors help shape the journey of these young innovators by sharing expertise, providing feedback, and guiding project development.
There are three distinct mentorship roles:
Foundational Year Mentor: Support early-stage Fellows focused on leadership and personal development (1 hour/month).
Scaling Mentor: Guide Fellows with advanced projects, offering deep entrepreneurial and business development insights (2 hours/month).
Subject Matter Expert: Offer flexible, bookable sessions on topics like sustainability, finance, legal issues, and prototyping (<1 hour/month).
All engagements are virtual and designed to be time-efficient while creating meaningful connections and knowledge exchange.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
To apply, you must:
Be fluent in English
Have experience in sustainability, entrepreneurship, leadership, or business
Have previous mentoring, coaching, or advisory experience
(For Scaling Mentors) Have 4+ years in business innovation or startup development
Application Procedure
Complete Online Application: Submit a short 15–20 minute form by May 31, 2025.
Selection Process: Candidates will receive selection results by June/July 2025.
Mentor Match & Engagement: Matched with a Fellow in August 2025, with orientation and engagement starting shortly after.
If shortlisted as a Scaling Mentor, a brief interview will be required. Subject matter experts will receive additional instructions on how to support Fellows.
