✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold (or be completing) a Master’s degree from a recognized university (Danish or equivalent international).
Must not already be enrolled in a PhD program at the time of receiving the grant notification (26 November 2025).
The academic supervisor must be a professor or associate professor at a Danish university within a relevant research field.
A co-supervisor from the life-science industry is encouraged.
Only one DDEA PhD application is allowed per applicant per round.
💡Note: If the Master's degree is not yet awarded at the time of application, a confirmation letter from the thesis supervisor is required, along with eventual proof of graduation within 6 months of receiving the grant.

Confirm Supervision and Host Institution: Ensure alignment with a Danish university and an industry partner.
Complete Application Form: Available via the DDEA platform.

ℹ️ Additional Information
Each Principal Investigator (PI) can host only one 2/3 DDEA-funded PhD scholar at a time.
DDEA funds various other programs such as 50%-funded industrial fellowships and postdoctoral grants—PIs involved in those must ensure eligibility.
