🎓 Scholarship Overview
The Biomedical Engineering Unit, Department of Physiology at Makerere University, in conjunction with Case Western Reserve University, received a grant from the U.S. NIH – Fogarty International Center to train Ugandans in Biomedical Engineering (BME). The program's main aim is to build capacity for medical technology innovation and develop human capacity interested in research in Biomedical Engineering.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Ugandan nationals with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a health-related field from a recognized university
Currently enrolled in a relevant Master’s program at Makerere University
Completed year one of MSc studies with good academic standing
Demonstrated interest in medical devices and technological innovation
Research proposal addressing health-related technology challenges in Uganda
Willingness to participate in an oral interview (scheduled for May 2, 2025)
