📚 Scholarship Overview
This PhD research will focus on integrating bioenergy systems—specifically anaerobic digestion—into the Irish dairy and beef farming sectors. The successful applicant will develop simulation and optimisation tools to support the transition toward decarbonised, energy-efficient agricultural systems. ✅ Eligibility Criteria
Essential:
Bachelor's degree (1.1 or 2.1) in Engineering or Science
Strong organisational and communication skills
Experience in teamwork and problem-solving
Demonstrated interest in sustainable energy or agriculture
Proficiency in research documentation, presentation, and software tools
Desirable:
Experience in simulation modelling or coding optimisation algorithms
Familiarity with tools like Python, Matlab, RStudio, Simulink, QGIS, GitHub
