✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a non-Chinese citizen in good physical and mental health

  • Age limit:

    • Master's: under 35 years old

    • Ph.D.: under 40 years old

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree (for Master’s applicants) or Master’s degree (for Ph.D. applicants)

  • Excellent academic performance

  • Language requirements:

    • HSK Level 4 for Chinese-taught programs

    • IELTS/TOEFL (or equivalent) for English-taught programs

  • Meet all admission requirements of SWJTU

📝 Application Procedure

Step 1 – CSC Application:

  • Register at the CSC online application portal: https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn

  • Choose Program Type B

  • Enter Agency Number: 10613 (SWJTU)

  • Complete the online application and download the application form


Step 2 – SWJTU University Application:

  • Go to SWJTU application system: https://admission.swjtu.edu.cn

  • Create an account and submit the same documents as uploaded to the CSC portal

  • Note: Both platforms must be completed – otherwise, your application will not be processed


Step 3 – Preliminary Review:

  • Once your application passes the initial check, pay a non-refundable application fee of RMB 400


Step 4 – Academic Review:

  • Faculties will assess your academic potential through interviews or written tests

  1. Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form

  2. Passport Copy (valid through September 2025)

  3. Highest Degree Certificate (or official proof of expected graduation)

  4. Academic Transcripts

  5. Study Plan (min. 1000 words in Chinese or English)

  6. Two Recommendation Letters (by associate professors or higher, dated 2024 or 2025)

  7. Foreigner Physical Examination Form (valid within 6 months)

  8. HSK Certificate or English Language Proficiency Proof

  9. Non-Criminal Record Certificate

  10. Underage applicants: Guardian information (if under 18)


ℹ️ Additional Notes

  • Final results will be announced by July/August 2025

  • Candidates must not hold other Chinese scholarships concurrently

  • All applications must be submitted online only – no paper or email submissions accepted

  • SWJTU does not authorize any intermediaries to handle applications
