GOAL NextGen Youth Programme 2025 Overview
About NextGen Youth Programme
The NextGen Youth Programme is designed to equip participants with essential skills such as critical thinking, intercultural communication, project management, and teamwork. Over the course of ten sessions, participants will collaborate to develop awareness-raising materials that will contribute to GOAL's public engagement efforts.
Duration
10 sessions from May to July 2025.
Online sessions for all participants
Two in-person sessions for participants based in Ireland.
Focus Areas: Climate change and health systems.
Skills Development: Critical thinking, intercultural communication, project management, teamwork, and public awareness campaign strategies
Eligibility Criteria
Be residents of Ireland, Ethiopia, Honduras, Iraq, Sierra Leone, Syria, Turkey, Uganda, or Zimbabwe.
Be between 18 and 25 years old.
Have a proficient command of English.
Be available for all scheduled sessions between May and July 2025.
Demonstrate a commitment to positive change, as evidenced by previous volunteer work or participation in relevant activities.
Have reliable access to a device and internet connection (support may be provided if needed).
Programme Schedule
The 2025 programme includes ten sessions, combining online and in-person meetings:
May 24: In-person session for Irish participants (11 AM - 4 PM).
May 27: Online session for international participants (3 PM - 5 PM Irish Time).
June 5, 12, 26; July 3, 10, 17: Online sessions for all participants (3 PM - 5 PM Irish Time).
June 20/21: In-person retreat for Irish participants (details to be confirmed).
Benefits and Stipend
To support participation, a stipend of €400 is available for all selected participants. This is intended to cover costs related to internet, data, and any travel expenses incurred during the programme.
