Study Level: Master’s (2 years) in Data Science in Business & Entrepreneurship (joint degree)
Target Group: International students outside the EU/EEA who are admitted (conditionally or unconditionally) to the DSBE Master, and who demonstrate insufficient financial capacity.
Fields of Focus: Data Science (data engineering, analytics, AI), business development & entrepreneurship, responsible / ethical & legal aspects (interpretation, explainability, business innovation)
Value & Coverage: It’s a tuition fee waiver covering 50% of the tuition for the first year; to receive the second‐year waiver (the other 50%), you must pass at least 8 out of 10 courses in your first year.
Duration of Award: 2 years (duration of the Master’s program).
Application Deadline:
For Spring intake (February / sometimes called "spring") – 1 November 2025
For Fall intake (September / “autumn”) – 22 April 2025
Start Date: The program starts end of August / September 2025 (and there’s also a spring intake in February 2026) depending on the intake you apply to.
📚 Scholarship Overview
The Master Data Science in Business & Entrepreneurship is a two-year joint Master’s degree delivered by JADS, which is a collaboration between Eindhoven University of Technology and Tilburg University. It is taught in English.
🧩 Curriculum
The curriculum combines pillars such as data engineering, analytics & AI, decision making, and business development, with a strong component of ethics, law, interpretability / explainability.
Many courses involve real-life business assignments or data challenges in collaboration with companies. Students work on actual data and real problems.
The program community is interactive, with close collaboration among students, researchers, and industry partners. There is support for entrepreneurial initiatives via JADS Playground & MKB Datalab for those who wish to start their own data-business or consulting projects.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
To be considered, applicants must satisfy all of:
Be a non-EU/EEA citizen.
Be conditionally or unconditionally admitted to the Master Data Science in Business & Entrepreneurship program (DSBE) for the relevant intake.
Demonstrate insufficient financial capacity – via certified documents showing income of the applicant or supporting party. If translations are needed, they must be sworn/certified into English.
Meet the academic/admission requirements for the DSBE program, including any quantitative background needed. (Note: not eligible if only admitted to Pre-Master)
📝 Application Procedure
How to Apply:
Submit an application package by email (PDF files) to JADS’ Admissions Office (questions@jads.nl) no later than the deadline for the intake (1 November for Spring, 22 April for Fall).
After the documents are reviewed, shortlisted candidates are invited for an interview (via Skype / Microsoft Teams) with the Scholarship Selection Committee.
The final decision is communicated within about two weeks after the interview.
