If you're a diplomat, public official, academic, or researcher from the Turkic world, the Turkish Language Program for Public Officials and Academicians of the Turkic World (KatipAta) 2025 is a fully funded, immersive opportunity to elevate your Turkish language skills and deepen cultural understanding—all in Ankara, Türkiye.

🎓 Program Overview

KatipAta nurtures linguistic proficiency (from A2 to B2) and cultural literacy, fostering stronger ties between Türkiye and the broader Turkic world. Participants receive instruction at Hacettepe University, attend seminars by leading Turkish scholars, take part in cultural excursions, and engage in institutional visits—ranging from media outlets to government and academic institutions .

✅ Eligibility Criteria

  • Non-Turkish national, under 40, not currently residing in Türkiye

  • Public officials: ≥ 3 years public service experience; Master’s/PhD preferred

  • Academics/researchers: Employed at a university or research institution; postgraduate degree preferred

  • English proficiency

  • Not currently benefiting from a Turkey Scholarship

📝 Application Procedure

  • Register on the official YTB portal (https://katipata.ytb.gov.tr/) and complete basic profile setup .

  • Submit application to the KatipAta Program, including:

    • Passport or national ID

    • Passport-sized photo

    • Academic transcripts and diplomas

    • Letter of intent/motivation

    • Proof of employment and institutional approval to participate .

  • Application deadline: 15 August 2025 .

  • Selection process: Shortlisted candidates invited to interviews; final decisions communicated via email or application portal .
