Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the KTH Joint Programme Scholarship, applicants must:

  1. Be classified as fee-paying students according to the Swedish national application system.

  2. Be enrolled in one of the following joint master's programmes, with plans to attend one or two semesters at KTH starting in autumn 2025:


  • Computer Simulations for Science and Engineering (COSSE)

  • Innovative Sustainable Energy Engineering (Nordic Five Tech)

  • Polymer Technology (Nordic Five Tech)

  • ICT Innovation (EIT Digital): Eligible if attending the first semester at KTH (round 1 applicants) or the third semester at KTH; must have paid the registration fee by April 3; should not hold a scholarship from the EIT Digital consortium.

  • Decentralized Smart Energy Systems (DENSYS, Erasmus+): Eligible if not holding an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship or a scholarship from the DENSYS consortium.

 

Application Procedure

1. Application Period: April 1, 2025 – April 15, 2025.


2. Document Submission: Applicants attending KTH for the first year and who have not applied through [universityadmissions.se] must send scanned copies of their original bachelor's degree and transcripts (including official translations if not in English) to [info@kth.se] during the application period.


For Applicants attending KTH for the second year must send scanned copies of their original transcripts from the first year of studies within the joint programme to [info@kth.se].


3. Selection Process: The scholarship is awarded primarily based on academic excellence, considering:

  • The applicant's grades (GPA or equivalent).

  • The ranking of the university that awarded the applicant's bachelor's degree.

  • Previous studies within the joint programme (for students attending KTH for their second year).


Additional Information:

  • The scholarship does not cover living costs; students are responsible for their own living expenses.

  • Applicants to certain master's programmes, such as Molecular Techniques in Life Science, Biostatistics and Data Science, or Innovative Technology for Healthy Living (EIT Health), are not eligible for the KTH Joint Programme Scholarship and should instead apply for the KTH Scholarship.

  • Students admitted to an EIT programme not listed among the eligible programmes and those holding an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship are not eligible for this scholarship.
