    • General Scholarships: For the entire course duration (excluding internships/stipends)

    • Special Girl Child: For two consecutive years, subject to renewal conditions

    • General Scholarship: Passed Class XII (or equivalent/diploma) in academic years 2022-23 / 2023-24 / 2024-25 with ≥ 60% marks; taken admission in first year (2025-26) in eligible courses; family income ≤ ₹4,50,000 per annum

    • Special Girl Child Scholarship: Female candidates who passed Class X (academic years as above) with ≥ 60% and are pursuing 10+2 / Vocational / Diploma for 2 years; family income ≤ ₹4,50,000



📚 Scholarship Overview

1). General Scholarship

Aim: To support financially constrained, high-achieving students entering higher education across various streams—medical, engineering, graduation, diploma, vocational, ITI—by providing annual financial aid.


2). Special Girl Child Scholarship

Targeted to empower girl students transitioning from Class X to 10+2, vocational, or diploma programs, offering support for two academic years to help bridge the gap and encourage continued education.


💰 Scholarship Benefits

  • Financial Support: Annual assistance ranging from ₹20,000 to ₹40,000 for general scholars, and ₹15,000 per annum for girl scholars.

  • Disbursal Method: Via NEFT directly into the student’s active bank account—must provide IFSC, account details, and a cancelled cheque.

  • Renewal Conditions:

    • Medicine/Engineering: Minimum 55% marks and pass all subjects each year.

    • Other UG/Vocational Courses: Minimum 50% and pass all subjects.

    • Special Girl Child (Year 2): Minimum 50% in Class XI and pass all subjects. Regular attendance required.

  • One Scholar per Family: Typically only one beneficiary per family—exceptions may apply (e.g., if both are girls in case of tie, preference given to the girl).

  • Merit-cum-Means Basis: Selection based on academic merit; if tied, preference goes to lower family income, then financial assessment.


✅ Eligibility Criteria

General Scholarship:

  • Passed Class XII / Diploma (or equivalent/regular/vocational) in 2022-25 with ≥ 60%.

  • Admitted to first year of eligible courses in 2025-26 (Medicine, Engineering, Graduation, Integrated, Diploma, Vocational, ITI).

  • Annual family income ≤ ₹4,50,000.


Special Girl Child Scholarship:

  • Female candidate passed Class X in 2022-25 with ≥ 60%.

  • Enrolled in 10+2 / Vocational / Diploma for two years starting 2025-26.

  • Annual family income ≤ ₹4,50,000.


General Conditions:

  • Not for postgraduate courses.

  • One scholarship per family; tie-breaker rules apply.

  • Non-eligibility for part-time, correspondence, open university, or self-study professional courses (e.g., CA, CS, ICWA).

  • Any false documentation leads to cancellation and repayment obligation.



📝 Application Procedure

  1. Visit LIC’s official website (Golden Jubilee Foundation section).

  2. Register/login to access the scholarship application.

  3. Apply online between 1 September 2025 and 22 September 2025—only online submissions accepted.

  4. Upon selection, Divisional Office will call for document verification.

  5. Selected candidates notified via office notice boards and individually.

  • The Golden Jubilee Foundation has a long history of supporting education; since inception in 2006, it has sanctioned educational projects nationwide.

  • Each LIC divisional office selects 100 students: 80 via General Scholarship (40 boys + 40 girls), plus 20 exclusively for the Special Girl Child category.

  • Scholarship is paused if student receives stipend or internship before course completion.
