📚 Scholarship Overview

  • The objective is to ease financial constraints so students can focus on technical education and gain employable skills.

  • Scholarships are awarded annually to around 550 students, each receiving ₹10,000 per year, for up to 3 years (provided they continue to meet norms).

  • As of now, over 12,940 students have benefited from MAITS.

  • Preference in selection is given to certain disadvantaged groups: girls, differently-abled students, children from low-income families, and children of armed forces or Central Armed Police Forces personnel.

  • The selection process generally includes shortlisting on merit and need, followed by interviews at regional centres. Shortlisted students are notified of the interview date and venue in advance; limited travel reimbursement may be provided.

  • The Trust usually publishes the call for applications advertisement in national and regional newspapers around June/July each year.

  • Financial Support: ₹10,000 annually (for tuition, study materials, etc.), for up to 3 years.

  • Continuity: Scholarship is renewable each year provided performance and eligibility are maintained.

  • Recognition and Moral Boost: The scholarship carries prestige, encouraging students to excel in their diploma programmes.

  • Bridging the Gap: Helps reduce dropout or financial pressure for students from marginalized backgrounds.
