✨ Fellowship Overview

The NGFP Fellowship is a transformative one-year journey designed to equip emerging practitioners with the tools and networks needed to explore and shape the future. At its core lies foresight, a discipline that systematically explores possible futures to better understand uncertainties and guide present-day decisions.

Rather than predicting the future, foresight enables individuals and organizations to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and build resilience in rapidly changing environments. Fellows are encouraged to apply these approaches to projects that generate meaningful social and environmental impact.

The programme supports individuals working on bold, systems-level ideas across key global challenges, known as Foresight Transformation Missions, including:

  • Climate and Just Transitions

  • Democracy and Sustainable Development

  • Emerging Technologies

  • Indigenous Futures and global foresight methods

  • Health and wellbeing

  • Intergenerational fairness

  • Nuclear security and peacebuilding

  • Rural futures

Each year, only 25 fellows are selected, making the programme highly competitive. However, strong applicants may still join the NGFP Sensing Network, a global community of over 900 practitioners.
