The BI Presidential Scholarship at BI Norwegian Business School is a prestigious scholarship designed to attract top-tier international and Norwegian students to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) program. This scholarship is a testament to BI's commitment to academic excellence and its dedication to fostering a diverse and talented student body.

 

BI Presidential Scholarship Overview

The BI Presidential Scholarship is awarded to applicants with superior academic records who are admitted to any MSc program at BI's campuses in Oslo or Bergen. The scholarship aims to support students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and leadership potential.

 

Scholarship Coverage

The scholarship provides comprehensive financial support, including:


  • Full Tuition Waiver: Covers full tuition fees for each semester.

  • Stipend for Living Expenses: Provides a stipend to assist with living expenses, although it does not cover all expenses (approximately 70%).

  • Duration: The scholarship is awarded for up to two years, provided the student meets the academic progression requirements.

 

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the BI Presidential Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Citizenship: Open to both Norwegian and international applicants.


2. Academic Excellence: Applicants must have a minimum overall GPA of 'A' on the ECTS scale or the equivalent top-level grade on international grade scales.


3. Program: Applicants must be admitted to the first year of a Master of Science degree program at BI, except for the BI-Luiss Joint Masters in Marketing.


4. Residency: International applicants who have completed a bachelor's degree in Norway are considered residents of Norway for this scholarship.


5. Siviløkonom Students: Students in the 3rd year of BI's Siviløkonom program are eligible to apply in the spring of their 3rd year.

 

Application Process

1. Online Application:

Apply for the scholarship at the same time as you apply for admission on the online application portal.


2. Required Documents: Upload your CV/resume and a scholarship application letter outlining why you should be considered for this scholarship (maximum one page). You should upload the letter to the section marked ‘Scholarship’ in your online application for admission.

ℹ️ Siviløkonom 3rd year students: Scholarship application letters must be emailed to info@bi.no.


3. Submission Deadline: The application deadline is March 1, 2025.


4. Review Process: Applications are reviewed by a panel of independent reviewers based on academic merit.


5. Notification: Successful applicants will be notified and must accept the offer of admission to be considered for the scholarship.
