Fellowship Overview

The SBI Youth for India Fellowship is designed to provide young individuals with the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to rural development. Fellows will collaborate with partner NGOs and local communities to implement projects across 12 thematic areas, including:

  • Traditional Crafts

  • Alternate Energy

  • Rural Livelihood

  • Technology

  • Food Security

  • Water


Throughout the fellowship, participants will gain hands-on experience, develop leadership skills, and work towards creating sustainable solutions that address the unique challenges faced by rural communities.

 

Fellowship Benefits

1). Financial Support:

  • Monthly Stipend: ₹16,000 for living expenses

  • Project Allowance: ₹1,000 per month

  • Readjustment Allowance: ₹90,000 upon successful completion

  • Insurance: Health and personal accident coverage

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree completed before October 1, 2025.

  2. Age Requirement: Between 21 and 32 years as of the program commencement date (born between August 5, 1993, and October 6, 2004).

  3. Nationality: Indian citizens, citizens of Nepal or Bhutan, or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).

 

Application Procedure

  1. Online Registration: Complete the registration form on the official website.

  2. Online Assessment: Submit essay-based responses detailing your motivation and perspectives.

  3. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview to assess suitability for the fellowship.
