If you're an undergraduate student in Africa passionate about sustainable development and eager to lead transformative change within your community, the SDGs Campus Ambassador Programme Cohort 4 offers a unique opportunity. Applications are now open for this fully funded 10-week leadership initiative, commencing in July 2025. Designed to empower young leaders, the programme equips participants with the skills and knowledge to champion the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across their campuses and beyond.

🌍 Programme Overview

The SDGs Campus Ambassador Programme is a transformative leadership journey aimed at nurturing socially responsible leaders committed to advancing the SDGs. Over 10 weeks, participants will engage in:

  • Interactive Training Sessions: Gain in-depth understanding of the SDGs and develop leadership and advocacy skills.

  • Mentorship: Receive guidance from experienced mentors to navigate leadership challenges and career pathways.

  • Community Projects: Design and implement projects addressing specific SDGs within local communities.

  • Certification: Earn a certificate of excellence upon successful completion, with recognition for outstanding projects.


The programme aspires to cultivate 10 million socially conscious leaders by 2030, embedding sustainable development values across over 5,000 higher education institutions in Africa.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be currently enrolled as undergraduate students in recognized universities, colleges, or polytechnics in Africa.

  • Be aged between 16 and 25 years at the time of application.

  • Have a good command of the English language, as the programme will be conducted in English.

  • Be pursuing any field of study; the programme encourages diverse academic backgrounds.

  • Demonstrate a passion for the SDGs and a track record (or clear potential) of leadership and initiative.

  • Show willingness to take on responsibilities and participate actively in the programme.

  • Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply, promoting an inclusive environment.

📝 Application Procedure & Required Documents

    • Proof of enrollment in a tertiary institution.
