Simata Pitsiulak Aviation Scholarship Scope
The Simata Pitsiulak Aviation Scholarship offers recipients up to $7,500. This amount can be used to cover tuition fees, training costs, and flight time-building.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must be:
Current student enrolled in a program related to pilots, aircraft maintainers, flight attendants, or airline/airport operations,
Be Nunavut Inuit or full-time residents of Nunavut (two-year minimum residency).
Plan to work in Nunavut after finishing their education
Full-time online courses and commercial flight time-building will be considered
Application Procedure
1). Carefully read the Simata Pitsiulak Aviation Scholarship Policy
2). Fill out this Application form
3). Prepare the following documents:
Letter of acceptance from a school, college, or university offering an academic or technical aviation- related program specifying the date your studies are to begin, and the length of the program in which you are to be enrolled. A letter of conditional acceptance is also acceptable.
Proof of Nunavut residency (legible photocopy of your Nunavut Health Card, General Identification Card, Drivers Licence, or other document proving residency in the Nunavut for the previous two years.)
Academic transcripts (official transcripts of all school, training, or academic instruction from high school onward)
Names and contact information of two people who have known you for at least two years and who can speak to the likelihood of your success in your career path. Accompanying this information should be their letter of reference for you. (As described in the application form)
