📚 Scholarship Overview
The ASEAN Scholarship for Vietnam by Singapore’s MOE is designed to nurture young Vietnamese talents by offering them access to premium secondary and pre-university education in Singapore. Scholars will not only follow rigorous academic programmes but also develop leadership, communication, cross-cultural and life skills through immersion in a diverse international environment.
During the four-year tenure, recipients live in hostel/residential settings (as covered by the scholarship), receive ongoing support and allowances, and their continuation in the programme is tied to performance-based renewal each year. The culmination of the scholarship is the award of the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level certificate (or equivalent), positioning students for either university admission in Singapore or elsewhere globally.
🎁 Benefits
Full schooling cost coverage: School fees and, where applicable, examination fees are included.
Annual allowance & accommodation: Covers hostel living (or similar) and settlement assistance.
Return economy airfare: Travel between Vietnam and Singapore for commencement of studies.
Medical & accident insurance: Subsidised healthcare benefits and insurance coverage.

👌🏻 Additional Notes & Tips
Since the scholarship is highly competitive, begin preparation early: maintain strong academic results, engage actively in extracurriculars, and work on your English proficiency.
Demonstrate not only grades, but leadership, initiative, and ability to adapt to an international environment in your application and interview.
Prepare for selection tests and interviews: practise presentation of your interests, aspirations, and experiences in English; be ready to show how you can contribute to the Singapore school community.
Visit or research the schools in Singapore likely to host the scholars (including hostel/residential life) so you are well-informed and motivated.
Ensure your parents/guardians and school are fully supportive since relocating to Singapore as a young student involves adjustment to a new cultural and academic setting.
Since the scholarship covers tuck-in at Secondary 3 (approx age 15), ensure you meet the age and grade criteria for the relevant intake year.
