🚀 Extra Tips & Important Notes
Gulu University is a particularly special choice for this scholarship. Located in Gulu City — one of the fastest-growing urban centres in Northern Uganda — the university has become a symbol of recovery and growth in a region that has experienced historical hardship. Studying here connects scholars to a community with deep resilience and a powerful story of transformation.
Students at Gulu University include learners from Cameroon, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Zambia, and beyond — many on RUFORUM Mastercard Foundation Scholarships — making it a genuinely diverse East African academic community.
TAGDev 2.0 is not just a scholarship programme — it is a movement for transformation of African higher education institutions. It champions equity, innovation, and leadership, especially among youth navigating challenges of life including poverty, displacement, and climate vulnerability.
The scholarship's special provisions for refugees (travel documents) and persons with disabilities (assistive devices) make this one of the most inclusive scholarship opportunities available in Uganda today.
Falsification of any application document will lead to immediate disqualification. Academic misconduct — including examination malpractice — results in automatic loss of the scholarship.
