TAGDev 2.0 — Transforming African Agricultural Universities to Meaningfully Contribute to Africa's Growth and Development — is a 10-year programme (2023–2033) implemented across 12 African universities in partnership with RUFORUM and the Mastercard Foundation. ✅ Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must meet all of the following:
Be a national of Kenya or an East African Community country (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan)
Come from an economically disadvantaged, marginalized, or conflict-affected background
Be under 30 years old (undergraduate) or under 35 years old (master's) at the time of the call
Have completed secondary school/diploma for a Bachelor's application not more than 2 years before the call (up to 4 years for refugees and IDPs)
Meet the specific admission requirements of the chosen programme at UoE (minimum KCSE grade of C+ for undergraduate)
Demonstrate a genuine interest in agriculture, agribusiness, and entrepreneurship
Show leadership qualities and commitment to community transformation
Not currently hold any other scholarship — double scholarship holders will be automatically discontinued

Minimum mean grade of C+ at KCSE or equivalent higher diploma from a recognized institution
Minimum C+ in two teaching subjects
Minimum C (plain) in English
