Fellowship Overview

The General Fellowship Programme is the cornerstone of SCAS's fellowship offerings, aiming to provide scholars with the freedom to focus on their research interests without the usual teaching and administrative responsibilities. Fellows are expected to actively engage in the Collegium’s scholarly community, participating in seminars and academic events beyond their specific fields of specialization.

Fellowship Benefits

  1. Financial Support: Fellows receive a monthly salary. However, SCAS encourages fellows to seek additional funding sources, such as sabbatical salaries or grants, as the Collegium does not match the salaries from home institutions.

  2. Accommodation: For fellows residing outside the Stockholm–Uppsala region, SCAS provides and covers the cost of accommodation. Efforts are also made to accommodate fellows from Stockholm who are unable to commute.
