Programme Overview
Launched as a pilot in 2023 with 22 participants, the Regional Cybersecurity Training Programme has expanded in 2025 to accommodate a larger cohort of 150 young cybersecurity enthusiasts. The training combines virtual theoretical sessions with in-person practical sessions where applicable. To ensure inclusivity, community structures in certain areas will be equipped to provide participants from rural and underserved regions with access to the internet and computers for virtual learning. Additionally, five individuals from each country will be selected as future trainers to promote peer-to-peer learning and capacity building within their communities.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Regional Cybersecurity Training Programme, Applicants must:
Be between 18 and 35 years old.
Be nationals of one of the 24 countries in West and Central Africa.
Be currently enrolled in or have graduated from a university or technical institution.
Demonstrate interest and foundational knowledge in cybersecurity, with potential for professional or entrepreneurial growth in the field.
Be proficient in English or French.
Possess a valid identification document or passport.
Application Procedure
Complete the application form with personal and educational details.
Submit a motivational statement explaining your interest in cybersecurity and reasons for joining the programme.
Provide a current CV detailing academic and professional experience.
Include proof of enrollment or graduation from a university or technical institution.
All applications must be submitted on or before April 17, 2025. Successful applicants will be notified of further steps and the training schedule.
