Eligible To: Students born after 1 January 1997, holding eligible protection status, with a foreign qualification acceptable for UniTo enrolment in 2025/26, having applied (Apply@UniTo) within deadlines (or late between 21 August–4 September 2025), and meeting language requirement (minimum B1). Not eligible: transfers from other Italian universities or internal UniTo course changes

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Born after 1 January 1997
Holding a residence permit for asylum, refugee or subsidiary protection, special protection, temporary protection (Ukraine), or equivalent protection issued in Italy from 2019
Foreign qualification eligible for UniTo enrolment in AY 2025/26
Completed Apply@UniTo application within deadlines (or during late submission period)
Language proficiency at minimum B1 level in the language of instruction
Not transferring from another Italian university or changing programs within UniTo

❓FAQs
1. Can I apply if I already study at another Italian university?No. This scholarship is only for students enrolling at UniTo for the first time in AY 2025/26. Transfers from other Italian universities or course changes within UniTo are not eligible.
2. Is Italian language proficiency required?It depends on your program. If your course is taught in Italian, you need at least B1 Italian. For English-taught programs, B1 English is required.
3. Can I apply without having my protection status yet?You must have valid proof of eligible protection status issued in Italy from 2019 onwards to apply.
4. How competitive is the scholarship?Only 10 awards are available for 2025/26 (4 undergraduate, 6 postgraduate). Selection will be based on eligibility, academic qualifications, and motivation.
5. Can I renew the scholarship for the next year?The call is for one academic year. Renewal is not guaranteed and depends on UniTo’s funding and calls in future years.
6. Are living expenses fully covered by the €11,000?The €11,000 stipend is meant to contribute to living and study costs, but students should budget accordingly as Turin’s cost of living may exceed this amount.
7. Can I submit my language certificate after the deadline?All required documents, including language proof, must be submitted before the application deadline.
8. Will UniTo help me with accommodation in Turin?While housing is not included as a direct scholarship benefit, UniTo offers orientation and guidance to help students find suitable accommodation.
