If you are a journalist or content creator passionate about gender equality, health, climate justice, human rights or related social issues, here’s a chance to report from Women Deliver 2026 (WD2026) Conference in Narrm (Melbourne), Australia. Women Deliver’s Media Scholarships for WD2026 aim to lower barriers for eligible media practitioners to participate in and cover the conference. Alongside the benefit of full logistical support (travel, stay, insurance), recipients are expected to engage fully, produce content aligned with the themes of WD2026, and share their coverage with Women Deliver.

This scholarship is not only about attendance — it’s also about amplifying diverse voices and stories, especially those underrepresented in global media. The selection considers your past work, recent journalistic / content creation relevance, and how your outlet or audience relates to WD2026’s themes.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be working media or content creator: reporters, editors, photojournalists, videographers, podcast/radio journalists, newsroom social/visual teams, freelancers with verified assignment, or content creators producing factual social issue content.

  • Demonstrated interest / track record in gender equality, health, human rights, climate justice, development or Pacific/Oceanic Pacific issues.

  • Priority to applicants from under-resourced communities; First Nations / Indigenous; LGBTQIA+; people with disabilities; refugees / displaced persons; early-career; not previously awarded a Women Deliver Conference scholarship.

  • Must be able to travel to Melbourne for the conference if selected, and comply with conference requirements (visa, registration etc.).

  • Adherence to WD2026’s Code of Conduct; willingness to participate in virtual/pre-event sessions or media briefings as required.



📝 Application Procedure

  • Submit an online application via the Women Deliver WD2026 Media Scholarships page.

  • Application includes personal / professional information, sample(s) of recent work, details of outlet / audience, motivation / relevance to WD2026 themes. (The exact required documents are listed in the application form.)

  • Ensure you apply between 15 September 2025 and 15 October 2025. Applications after deadline will not be accepted.

  • Wait for notification by email by November 2025 if selected.
