The 2025 NNPC–SNEPCo National University Scholarship Award is now open for applications. This prestigious scholarship, offered by Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo) on behalf of itself, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, and its co-venture partners, aims to promote academic excellence and enhance the skills of young Nigerians. 📚 Eligible Study Programs
The NNPC/SNEPCo scholarship covers all disciplines approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC). This includes but is not limited to:
Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, etc.)
Environmental Sciences
Agricultural Sciences
Social Sciences (Economics, Sociology, Political Science, etc.)
Management and Business Studies
Law
Education and other NUC-accredited fields.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:
Be a Nigerian citizen
Be currently in their second year of full-time study in a Public Nigerian University accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC)
Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale or its equivalent in other grading systems
Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship from an entity in the Oil and Gas industry, either national or international
Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
📂 Required Documents
Applicants should prepare the following documents for upload:
A recent passport-sized photograph (JPEG format, not more than 200 KB)
University or JAMB Admission Letter
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Result
O' Level Result(s); and 'A' Level/ OND/ NCE Result(s) as applicable
Letter of Identification from the State of Origin, indicating the applicant's local government of origin
Academic results (CGPA) after completing 100 level

🔍 Selection Process
Only candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be invited for the monitored computer-based test
Only the top 10 candidates from each of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory will be shortlisted for academic verification prior to the scholarship offer
Candidates with falsified results will be disqualified
Only candidates who have successfully satisfied the above criteria will be contacted to receive the scholarship award
⭐ Terms of Award & Acceptance
The scholarship is renewable through graduation, provided recipients maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.5 per session and meet other conditions outlined in the scholarship award letter
The award cannot be transferred to another university or course of study
Recipients must continue their studies at the same university and course for which the scholarship was granted
The scholarship will expire upon completion of the course for which the award was made
