📚 Fellowship Overview
The Adejumobi Adegbite Fellowship is a comprehensive one-year program dedicated to nurturing the next generation of Nigerian journalists. Through a blend of in-person and virtual sessions, the fellowship offers:
Workshops: Intensive training sessions focusing on investigative techniques, multimedia storytelling, data analysis, and ethical journalism practices.
Mentorship: Personalized guidance from seasoned journalists and media professionals to support fellows in their investigative projects.
Practical Experience: Opportunities to produce impactful public interest stories, utilizing the skills and tools acquired during the fellowship.
Fellows are expected to participate in the opening and closing sessions held in Lagos, as well as two intermediate online sessions, ensuring a well-rounded and flexible learning experience.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Professional Experience: Less than five years of experience in journalism, including roles in TV, radio, print, or online media.
Residency: Permanent residency in Nigeria.
Professional Status: Active working journalists, including interns, freelancers, part-time, and full-time media professionals.
Previous Participation: Not alumni or prior participants of any U.S. government exchange programs.
Published Work: Submission of two investigative stories published within the 24 months preceding the application deadline.
Content Criteria: Submissions must be investigative reports; features, analyses, and op-eds are not eligible.
Availability: Commitment to attend the opening and closing sessions in Lagos, and two online sessions during the fellowship period.
