📚 Program Overview
Launched in June 2023, the Umi Mentorship Program is a flagship initiative by Umi for Mothers, aiming to support new mothers in balancing motherhood with personal and professional aspirations. The program has successfully paired mothers from 12 African countries—including Botswana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe—as well as those residing in the UK, with experienced mentors who provide guidance through the early stages of motherhood and career development.
The mentorship is conducted virtually, allowing for flexible participation. However, if mentors and mentees wish to meet in person, they are encouraged to do so.
