African Union CIEFFA Online Capacity Building Training 2025: Empowering Africa's Future Leaders

The African Union's International Centre for Girls' and Women's Education in Africa (AU CIEFFA), in collaboration with ImpactHER, is launching the 2025 edition of its fully-funded Online Capacity Building Training (OCBT). Scheduled to commence in September 2025, this initiative aims to bridge the gender gap in education and empower individuals across Africa and the diaspora.
Aspiring participants are encouraged to apply before the deadline to secure a spot in this transformative program. Applications are open to both women and men from all 55 African Union Member States and the African Diaspora. The training will be conducted in English, French, and Portuguese, with participants divided into monthly cohorts starting from September 2025.

Under the theme “#AfricaEducatesHer – Digital Skills for All: Bridging the Gender Gap in STEAM, Financial Literacy, and Entrepreneurship”, the OCBT focuses on:
Digital Literacy: Enhancing participants' ability to navigate and utilize digital tools effectively.
Entrepreneurship: Equipping individuals with the skills to start and manage successful ventures.
Financial Literacy: Providing knowledge on managing finances, budgeting, and investing.
STEAM Education: Promoting education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.
Gender Equality in Education: Advocating for equal educational opportunities for all genders.
The training also offers specialized modules for women educators aiming to enhance their capacity to teach digital literacy and STEAM subjects effectively.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the training, applicants must:
Be of African descent (woman or man).
Demonstrate motivation to learn about digital skills, entrepreneurial skills, and financial literacy.
Show leadership abilities, aspirations, and a commitment to promoting girls' and women's education.
Have access to a reliable internet connection and a device (laptop, computer, smartphone, or tablet).
Understand one of the training languages: English, French, or Portuguese.
Hold African citizenship and reside on the continent or anywhere in the world.
