🚀 Award Overview
Location: Mactan, Cebu, Philippines
Host Institution: Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC)
Participation Level: Students, organizing team members, and young professionals (ages 18–35 as of 16 Dec 2025)
Target Group: SGAC members residing in Asia-Pacific (must have contributed to SGAC through events, project groups, leadership roles, etc.)
Fields of Focus: Space sector engagement, leadership, regional diversity, and industry networking
Value: USD 2,000 total, divided among three winners; covers round-trip economy airfare and visa costs; plus a certificate awarded during the workshop
Award Duration: Attendance at the 2-day workshop, plus post-event deliverables

Eligible To: SGAC members, aged 18–35 by 16 Dec 2025, resident in Asia-Pacific, with prior SGAC contributions. Judges, past winners of AP-SLA or regional awards, and those receiving other funding are not eligible
🧩 Structure & Activities
The 11th AP-SGW is a two-day workshop that brings together emerging space professionals, students, and enthusiasts from the Asia-Pacific region to:
Engage in interactive panel discussions, working groups, and keynote sessions
Exchange ideas on regional space challenges such as climate change, disaster management, and connectivity
Collaborate on developing actionable recommendations for sustainable space activities across the region
The AP-SLA complements this experience by enabling travel and participation for diverse, talented applicants.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Residency: Must live in an SGAC-defined Asia-Pacific country (e.g., Australia, India, Jordan, Malaysia, etc.)
SGAC Membership: Registered member prior to application
Age: Between 18 and 35 as of 16 December 2025
Contributions to SGAC: Attendance at events, participation in event teams, involvement in project groups, or roles such as Regional Coordinators (RCs), National Points of Contact (NPoCs), or Executive Office members
Exclusions: Judges of the scholarship, past AP-SLA/regional award winners, and those receiving other funding are disqualified

📆 Award Process
Applications reviewed between 1–15 September 2025
Winners notified by 16 September 2025
Winners must:
Attend the full workshop
Submit a one-page written report and a one-minute YouTube video summarizing their experience
Reimbursement: Provided within 30 days after fulfilling the requirements and no later than 16 December 2025
If additional funding is received mid-program, winners must proactively notify SGAC to coordinate solutions—failure to disclose may result in forfeiture of reimbursement
SGAC is not liable for expenses if the event is canceled or if the awardee fails to attend due to travel documents or other unforeseen circumstances; travel insurance and flexible bookings are highly recommended

Scoring is based on the following criteria:
Contributions to the space sector (20%) — e.g., research, industrial R&D, space program involvement, non-SGAC volunteering
Contributions to SGAC (30%) — e.g., attendance, project groups, volunteering, leadership in SGAC activities
Why you should be selected (20%) — stand-out traits, motivations, and unique fit
How you’d leverage this opportunity (20%) — use of the workshop for career and regional impact
Unique perspective (10%) — what cultural, geographic, or professional lens you bring
