These intensive language programs cater to applicants aiming for German-speaking university studies or professionals needing German proficiency for their jobs. Beyond grammar and writing, the courses focus on fluent conversation, vocabulary expansion, pronunciation improvement, and writing skills. With approximately 100 lessons, including a final exam and the IIK Language Certificate of Proficiency, you’ll receive comprehensive training. Additional services like homework assistance, tutoring, and conversation groups enhance your learning experience.


Students may choose to attend classes face-to-face only, online only, or change between these modes at any time.

 

Funding / DAAD-HSK Scholarship for these Courses

For these courses, DAAD-HSK scholarships are available, typically starting at language level B1 and these scholarships cover:


  1. A one-time payment of EUR 1,134 (or EUR 1,309 for students from Least Developed Countries)

  2. Country-specific travel allowances

  3. Health, accident, and personal liability insurance


• Typically, scholarship amounts cover course fees and accommodation costs, with any remaining balance given directly to the scholarship recipient. When applying, make sure to use the HSK-reference number corresponding to your course date.

 

Eligibility criteria

  • Undergraduate and master’s degree students in all disciplines.

  • Undergraduate students must have completed at least two academic years by the start of the scholarship period.

 

Course Funding Eligibility

Eligible for funding are: language, regional studies, and technical language courses provided by state or state-recognized German universities and affiliated language schools. These courses must span a minimum of 18 teaching days with at least 25 teaching hours per week.

For this course DAAD university summer course scholarships (usually starting at language level B1) are available. If you wish to apply for this course, you can find all necessary information about the scholarship programme and its application requirements on this webpage. To submit your application, please note the HSK-reference number listed below the course date of your choice (category „dates and costs“). This number can only be used for presence courses. Applying for attending online courses is not possible.
