📝 Application Procedure

  1. Host Submission:

    • The application must be submitted by a researcher at the University of Bonn who has completed a doctorate.

  2. Fellow's Agreement:

    • The fellow must provide an informal letter of consent to the nomination.

  3. Required Documents:

    • Completed online application form.

    • Project description (PDF, maximum 6 pages), including:

      • Planned time period for the fellow’s visit.

      • Reasons for inviting the fellow, highlighting their key research accomplishments and international reputation.

      • Overview of existing collaboration between the applicant and the fellow (if applicable).

      • Plan for integrating the fellow into Bonn’s academic life during the stay.

      • Description of the expected outcomes of the stay and plans for future collaboration.

      • Fellow’s informal declaration of consent.

    • Curriculum Vitae (CV) of the fellow (PDF).

    • Signed invitation letter from the host at the University of Bonn (PDF).

    • Financing plan (Excel table, downloadable from the application portal).

  4. Submission Deadline:

    • 22 September 2025 (5 PM CET).

  5. Notification:

    • Applicants will be notified of the outcome by early December 2025.

  6. Project Timeline:

    • Fellowships must commence between 1 January 2026 and 31 December 2026.

    • All funding must be fully utilized by 31 December 2026.
