This prestigious fellowship offers two recent postdoctoral scholars the opportunity to conduct independent research in India, leveraging Harvard's extensive resources.
🎯 MIIF Fellowship Overview
Location: New Delhi, India
Fellowship Duration: 1 year
Start Date: January 2026
Monthly Stipend: INR 1,00,000 (covers living expenses, medical allowances, books, and research materials)
Travel Support: Economy round-trip airfare for fellows residing outside New Delhi
Mentorship: Remote guidance from a Harvard faculty member

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
Have completed a PhD between March 1, 2020, and March 31, 2025
Be recent postdoctoral scholars from any discipline
Demonstrate a commitment to advancing programs for the public benefit of India
Preferably have been primarily educated at institutions in India and have not previously accessed Harvard’s resources

📝 Application Requirements
Applicants must submit:
Research Proposal: A 2–3 page, double-spaced document including:
Project title and abstract
Research questions
Methodology
Proposed outcomes
Curriculum Vitae (CV): Detailing academic degrees, publications, presentations, and previous grants/fellowships
Writing Sample: A document not exceeding 10 pages, double-spaced (e.g., dissertation chapter, academic paper, policy brief)
PhD Diploma Scan: Proof of doctoral degree
Letters of Recommendation: Two letters, with at least one from an academic referee familiar with the applicant's scholarly work
