🎓 Workshop Overview
Locations & Dates:
University of Lomé, Togo: 25–26 June 2025
Central University, Mile 91, Sierra Leone: 30 June – 1 July 2025
Organizers: The workshop is funded by the British Academy and organized in collaboration with the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) and esteemed institutions in West Africa.
Target Audience: Early Career Researchers who have completed their PhD within the last 8–10 years or are nearing completion.
Participant Capacity: Fewer than 30 academics will be selected to ensure personalized attention.
Application Deadline: 15 May 2025 (17:00 GMT).
🧠 Workshop Goals
Publishing in Peer-Reviewed Journals: Equip participants with strategies to publish in high-impact international journals.
Grant Proposal Writing: Provide tools for writing successful grant proposals to secure research funding.
Personalized Mentorship: Offer feedback on submitted manuscripts from experienced academics and journal editors.
Networking Opportunities: Facilitate connections with peers, leading scholars, and journal editors to foster collaborative research.
Sustained Support: Provide follow-up assistance for submissions to international journals post-workshop.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
Academic Qualification: Completed PhD within the last 8–10 years or nearing completion.
Research Proposal: Submit a 1,500-word proposal outlining the study's motivation, research question, theoretical background, and methodology.
Discipline: Open to all social science disciplines, including but not limited to Finance, Management, Accounting, Marketing, Tourism, Sustainability, Public Health Management, International Business, and Human Resources.
Publication Commitment: Intention to submit a paper to an international conference and/or journal following the workshop.
Application Submission: Complete application online by 15 May 2025 (17:00 GMT).
