✅ Eligibility Criteria

  • Have endorsement from their head of department or hospital management.

  • Commit to returning to a recognized post in their home country post-fellowship.

  • Preferably be working in a teaching hospital.

  • Be early-career professionals, though experienced anaesthesiologists may also apply.

📝 Application Procedure

WFSA Application:

  1. Visit the WFSA online application platform.

  2. Select Chapter ‘Fellowships’ and Category ‘Nairobi Paediatrics Fellowship 2025/2026’.

  3. Submit the following documents:

    • Curriculum Vitae with a recent photo and names of two referees.

    • Letter of recommendation from the national anaesthesiology society.

    • Letter of recommendation from the head of department or hospital management.

    • Copies of medical degree and specialist anaesthesiology qualification.

    • Copy of the photograph page of the passport.


University of Nairobi Application:

  1. Complete the online application on the University of Nairobi website.

  2. Provide certified copies of:

    • Undergraduate medical degree and anaesthesia specialization.

    • Transcripts from undergraduate and anaesthesia degrees/fellowships.

    • High school certificates.

  3. Verification of all degrees/transcripts not obtained in Kenya by the Kenya Commission for University Education.

  4. Letter/certificate of good standing from the registering authority in the applicant's country.

  5. Valid police clearance from the country of residence.

  6. Evidence of Yellow fever and Hepatitis B vaccinations.

  7. Official translations of all documents not in English.


Note: The University of Nairobi application process is stringent; all documentation must be complete for successful submission.
