✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
Be Chinese citizens residing currently in China
Commit to returning to China post‑fellowship
Hold a postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience
Have at least five years of substantial professional experience in the energy sector, or be a PhD candidate not registered at a UK/EU/US institution
Not hold dual nationality with the UK (unless exempt under Chevening policy)
Not be a current or recent (within two years) employee, relative of an employee, or affiliate of HMG departments, British Council, or a sponsoring UK university
If previously funded by an HMG scholarship or fellowship, demonstrate career progression and observe a five-year wait period before re-applying
