If you’re a graduate student at Concordia University working on a social justice-focused thesis and eager to gain recognition and financial support, the Social Justice Centre at Concordia University is now inviting applications for its 2025–2026 Graduate Fellowships. Four bursaries of $5,000 CAD each are available. As a Fellow, you’ll receive the title “Graduate Student Fellow,” be featured on the Centre’s website, and gain access to dedicated co-working spaces. Apply by midnight on September 15, 2024 via email to the Social Justice Centre.
🎓Fellowship Summary
Location: Concordia University, Montréal, Quebec, Canada (Social Justice Centre)

Level: Graduate degree students (MA or PhD) at Concordia University
Target Group: Graduate students in the writing stage of their thesis, focused on topics related to social justice
Value: Four bursaries worth $5,000 CAD each; benefits include recognition and workspace access

📚 Fellowship Overview
This fellowship, hosted by Concordia’s Social Justice Centre, supports graduate students whose research addresses critical social justice issues. Fellows will:
Receive a $5,000 bursary and the title “Graduate Student Fellow”.
Be featured on the Centre’s website and recognized for their scholarly work.
Access shared co-working spaces in the Hall Building and the SHIFT Co-Working Space for Social Transformation.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
Be currently enrolled in a graduate degree (MA or PhD) at Concordia University.
Work on a research project directly connected to social justice. Priority is given to those in the thesis-writing stage.

Applicant’s name, degree program, and department.
Thesis supervisor’s name and department.
Project title and research topics.
A single PDF containing:
Updated academic CV.
Current transcript (unofficial copy is accepted).
Brief project description (maximum 2 pages) stating research question, connection to social justice, and project timeline.
🔍 Expectations - Fellow Responsibilities
Fellows are expected to:
Work actively on their research project.
Deliver a talk presenting their work to members of the Social Justice Centre.
Attend events organized by the Centre.
