This partnership aims to empower young entrepreneurs to tackle climate change through innovative solutions. The scholarship provides full funding for participation in the Climate Entrepreneurship Academy, part of the AFS Youth Assembly 2025. The Academy is designed to equip delegates with practical knowledge and strategies for founding, financing, and sustainably growing climate-focused startups. Participants will engage in a collaborative environment, teaming up with peers and industry mentors to turn ideas into impactful ventures.

🧭 AFS Youth Assembly Structure & Activities

Hosted by NYU’s Center for Global Affairs, the Climate Entrepreneurship Academy offers a comprehensive program that includes:

  • Keynote Talks & Interactive Sessions: Insights from trailblazers and influencers in the field.

  • Thematic Discussions: Panels with experts and leaders on various topics.

  • Skill-Building Workshops: Practical sessions to develop entrepreneurial skills.

  • Certificates: NYU Certificate and the AFS Global Competence Certificate Program (virtual).

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be aged 18–35 at the time of the program start date.

  • Reside in the Americas region (North, Central, South America, and the Caribbean).

  • Have never attended the AFS Youth Assembly before.

  • Demonstrate a passion for sustainability and active engagement in their communities.

  • Be able to participate in program sessions conducted in English.

  • Hold a U.S. passport, a passport that does not require a visa for entry into the United States, or a valid U.S. visa.
