If you are a Jordanian student benefiting from charitable aid funds or a Syrian refugee living in Jordan and seeking to pursue a fully funded Master’s degree, applications are now open for the EDU–SYRIA IV Graduate Studies Scholarship Program (GSSP) for the academic year 2025/2026. This prestigious program, funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the German Jordanian University (GJU) in cooperation with the DAAD, offers a life-changing opportunity to advance your academic and professional career.
The program provides 50 full scholarships:
45 scholarships for Jordanians at four partner universities in Jordan.
5 scholarships for Syrian refugees at the German Jordanian University.
This initiative aims to empower youth by equipping them with advanced skills, improving their employability, and enabling them to contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Duration: 2 years (4 semesters maximum)

⭐ Scholarship Overview
The EDU–SYRIA IV Graduate Studies Scholarship Program is part of the broader EDU-SYRIA IV project, which supports vulnerable youth through scholarships, vocational training, teacher certificates, entrepreneurship programs, and labor market courses. To date, the initiative has awarded over 4,000 scholarships.
For Jordanians, scholarships are offered at four universities (JUST, GJU, MU, YU) across a wide range of disciplines, including engineering, sciences, business, health sciences, nursing, education, agriculture, and more.
For Syrian refugees, the scholarships are offered exclusively at GJU, focusing on selected engineering and social science programs.

Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST): Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Computer Science, Architecture, Urban Planning, Linguistics, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Nutrition, and more.
Yarmouk University (YU): Accounting, Business Administration, Financial & Banking Sciences, Public & Private Law, Islamic Studies, Computer Science & IT, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Educational Administration, and Engineering.
Mutah University (MU): Arabic, English Literature & Linguistics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering Management, Mechanical & Chemical Engineering, Smart Grids, Law, Education, Psychology, Special Education, Sports Rehabilitation, Nutrition, Computer Science, and Nursing.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
For Jordanians
Must be a beneficiary of aid funds (NAF, TUAF, Al-Aman Fund, Zakah Fund)
Age limit: under 28 years old at program start
Minimum GPA: Very Good in Bachelor’s degree
Consecutive field of study (Master’s must be related to Bachelor’s)
IELTS/TOEFL strongly recommended (priority given)
Women and applicants with special needs are encouraged to apply
For Syrian Refugees
Must be a Syrian refugee residing in Jordan
Possess UNHCR Asylum Seeker Certificate (ASC)
Possess valid MOI Service Card
Age limit: under 28 years old
Minimum GPA: Very Good in Bachelor’s degree
Consecutive field of study requirement
IELTS/TOEFL recommended (priority given)

🔍 Selection Process
Round 1: Eligibility screening + document check
Round 2: Interview (in Arabic & English) with scoring based on academic performance, language proficiency, intellectual capacity, resilience, and motivation
Final selection by EDU-SYRIA Committee & DAAD
Results announced before the start of the semester 2025/26
