🎓 IAPS AI Policy Fellowship 2025 Overview

The AI Policy Fellowship 2025 is structured to provide fellows with practical experience in AI policy-making. The program begins with a mandatory two-week in-person residency in Washington, D.C. (September 1–12), followed by the option to continue the fellowship either in-person or remotely.

  • Mentorship: Each fellow is paired with an expert mentor to guide their projects.

  • Project Work: Fellows will engage in projects such as writing policy briefs, organizing high-level convenings, and briefing government officials.

  • National security implications of AI

  • Export controls

  • CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) risks of AI systems

  • AI procurement and governance

  • International regulation (U.S., U.K., E.U.)

  • Hardware and compute policy

🎁 Fellowship Benefits

1). Financial Support:

  • Fellows: $15,000 stipend

  • Senior Fellows: $22,000 stipend
