As global climate challenges intensify, youth stand at the forefront of resilient change-making—bringing energy, innovation, and grassroots wisdom to the climate conversation. The International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) invites aspiring young leaders to apply for its Youth Fellowship Programme 2026. This one-year fellowship empowers passionate undergraduates and recent graduates from Bangladesh to build capacity, co-create climate solutions, and strengthen their ability to influence policy, practice, and community resilience. 🎓 Fellowship Summary

🌎 ICCCAD Overview

The ICCCAD Youth Fellowship blends intensive learning with hands-on experience. Fellows will take part in:

  • Capacity-building modules: Residential workshops, online classes, and immersive field visits to experience climate change realities firsthand

  • Dialogue and advocacy: Platforms to negotiate and advocate on climate challenges with policymakers and community stakeholders

  • Implementation support: Small grants to bring innovative youth-led ideas to life, backed by mentorship from climate experts

  • Career development: Top performers may represent ICCCAD at global climate forums and participate as trainers in future fellowship cycles


⭐ Tenure of Fellowship

The Fellowship programme will be a one (1) year-long commitment. During the fellowship period, fellows will have the opportunity to get guidance from mentors, develop their projects, and execute activities that have a meaningful impact on climate change and development. Depending on the nature of the training modality, youth fellows are encouraged to connect with other ICCCAD youth fellow alumni. The youth fellows will also get the opportunity to join or work with other youth programme initiatives and programmes of ICCCAD.

📝 Application Procedure

  1. Submit online application via ICCCAD’s official portal by 30 August 2025 

  2. The selection committee conducts a screening and shortlists candidates for online interviews

  3. Final selection of fellows for the 2026 cohort follows interviews

  4. Once selected, fellows join the programme and must:

    • Attend at least 80% of online classes, the residential workshop, and field visit to qualify for certification

    • Submit monthly reports detailing learning, engagement, and project progress

    • Collect certificate at official closing ceremony upon completion
