The ICP Connect Scholarships, offered by VLIR-UOS, are prestigious fully-funded scholarships designed to support outstanding students from selected countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. These scholarships aim to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to become leaders and change agents in their respective fields, contributing to societal transformation across various sectors.
This year, ICP Connect is offering full scholarships for 20 programmes, including five newly added ones. Additionally, for the first time ICP Connect Scholarship is introducing two bachelor programmes, broadening the opportunities for students to study in Flanders.
ICP Connect Scholarships Summary
Full Funding: Covers tuition fees, travel expenses, insurance, and living expenses.
Monthly Allowance: €1,400 per month to cover living and accommodation costs.
Study Level(s): Bachelor's degree, Master's degree
Duration: 12/24/36 months

ICP Connect Scholarships Benefits and Financial Coverage
The ICP Connect Scholarships provide comprehensive financial support to cover all costs associated with the program. This includes:
Tuition Fees: Full tuition fee waiver.
Travel Expenses: Round-trip economy ticket to Belgium, including any necessary local flights.
Insurance: Comprehensive health insurance.
Living Expenses: Monthly allowance of €1,400 to cover living and accommodation costs in Belgium.
Installation Costs: One-time installation allowance to ease arrival in Belgium.
Indirect Travel Costs: Costs related to the program, such as study visits and internships.

The ICP Connect Scholarships support students in pursuing master's 2 year or 1 year advanced master's programs in addition to two newly introduced 3-Year Professional Bachelors:
For the master's programmes, ICP Connect Scholarships offer 13 different 2-Year initial master's in addition to 7 Advanced master's programmes of 1 Year duration.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the ICP Connect Scholarships, students must meet the following criteria
Nationality: Be a citizen and resident of an eligible country at the time of application.
Degree: Hold an undergraduate degree relevant to the chosen master's program.
Age: Be under 35 for bachelor or initial Master's programs and under 45 for advanced master's programs.
Language Proficiency: Be proficient in English language (some programs accept medium of Instruction as a valid proof of English language proficiency.
Professional experience: Preference will be given to candidates employed in higher education, government, or civil society, or those targeting a career in one of these sectors. Newly graduated candidates or those employed in the private sector with no work experience may also be considered if they provide strong motivation and a compelling profile
Previously awarded scholarships: Candidates may not have previously received a scholarship from the Belgian government to attend a study programme.
Preference will be given to candidates who have never received a scholarship to study in a higher income country (bachelor or master)
Admission: Candidates should also meet the admission requirements for the program they are applying for.
Application Procedure and Deadlines
Steps to apply for a scholarship:
Check if you are eligible based on all given criteria.
Learn more about the selected study programmes. If you're interested in a specific programme, visit the website of the institution that offers it and follow the provided instructions.
Through the institution’s website, apply for both the programme and the scholarship. When submitting your programme application, make sure to indicate if you are also applying for a scholarship. Do not apply for more than one ICP programme per year.
Evaluation and Notification
Each programme sets its own deadlines. VLIR-UOS receives the selection results from the programme organisers. VLIR-UOS contacts selected candidates and those on the waiting list by email as soon as possible after the selection process, and no later than mid-June.
