🎓 Fellowship Overview

The ICS-ULisboa Advanced Studies Fellowship is designed to promote scholarly exchange and the development of advanced training courses. Fellows are expected to engage in activities that align with ICS-ULisboa's thematic lines, contribute to teaching and seminars, and foster research networks.

  • Work Plan: Applicants must submit a detailed plan (up to 2,500 words) outlining:

    • Alignment with ICS-ULisboa's thematic lines

    • Proposed training or seminar activities (minimum of 10 hours, including at least one public session)

    • Strategies for establishing research networks involving ICS-ULisboa

  • Teaching/Seminar Plan: Fellows are required to deliver in-person lectures or seminars, totaling at least 10 hours, with support from ICS-ULisboa's Academic Management Office.

  • Research Networking: The fellowship encourages the development of collaborative research networks, enhancing the institute's international partnerships.

  • Curriculum Vitae’s seniority and excellence (50%)

  • Quality and alignment of the Work Plan with ICS-ULisboa’s thematic lines (20%)

  • Proposed training or teaching/seminar plan (20%)

  • Contribution to the development of research networks (10%)


ℹ️ Applications will be evaluated in July by the ICS-ULisboa Advanced Studies Fellowship Committee, chaired by Cristiana Bastos (2024–2026), with members Ângela Barreto Xavier, Edalina Sanches, and Rui Costa Lopes. Applicants and their sponsors will be informed of the outcome by the end of July.
