If you’re ready to level up your career, McKinsey Forward is now accepting applications in the United States. This is a free, ten-week online learning journey designed especially for early career professionals, people changing roles, or those looking to build stronger workplace skills. Whether you're just starting out, between jobs, or seeking to shift career paths — this program gives you structure, tools, and support to move forward. Applications are open and the deadline is September 29, 2025.
🎓 Program Summary
Location: United States (online / virtual)
Host Institution: (McKinsey & Company)
Level: Non-degree; professional development / short program
Target Group: Career starters, job changers; those with less than ~5 years of work experience (some exceptions)
Fields of Focus: Transferable workplace skills — adaptability & resilience; structured & creative thinking/problem solving; communication for impact; relationship building & well-being; digital toolkit for the modern work environment.
Coverage: It is free — there are no fees. Participants receive a digital badge upon completing the "Core Skills" level.
Duration: 10 weeks, committing about 2 hours/week.

Interactive Learning Journey: The program combines self-paced digital courses, virtual learning events, assignments, and reflection exercises.
Weekly Commitment: Around 2 hours per week over 10 weeks.

Network Level: After completing the core skills, participants join a global network of learners. This includes continued opportunities for networking, further learning, and possibly volunteering or pay-it-forward type contributions.
Badge / Certification: On finishing Core Skills, you receive a personalized digital badge shareable on LinkedIn / social media etc.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
To take part, you must:
Reside in the United States.
Be employed, self-employed, or between jobs, with some prior work experience (including internships/apprenticeships).
Have less than 5 years of total work experience. However, if you are working in nonprofit/NGO sector or in a non-managerial role, you might still qualify even with more than 5 years.
Have completed at least high school (or equivalent, e.g. GED).
Good command of English (program is in English).

💡Extra / Useful Information
Even if you have more than 5 years’ experience, you might still be eligible if you are in a nonprofit/NGO or non-managerial role.
The badge you get is digital/shareable — helps with LinkedIn etc. It doesn’t equal a formal degree, but can strengthen your profile.
The program is not sector-specific. Skills are transferable across many industries.
Since this is virtual/digital & relatively low time investment, it’s accessible across many U.S. states as long as you meet residence & eligibility criteria.
