On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) invites foreign citizens
to participate in the Fully funded 2024 Mexican Government Scholarship Program for International Students.
The scholarship is open to citizens of more than 180 countries. The scholarship is awarded for full-time Undergraduate, Master, PhD, Postgraduate Research, and Post Doctoral programs. In this scholarship, more than 90 Mexican higher education institutes are participating where you can choose from a plethora of available degree programs (download a list of Participating institutes here)
Scholarship coverage
The Mexican Government Scholarship is fully funded scholarship that provides awardees with comprehensive coverage starting from flight tickets to tuition fees, below a list of benefits:
Monthly stipend of 4 times the minimum salary in Mexico City for undergraduate mobility scholarships, specializations, master's degrees or master's-level research
Monthly stipend of 5 times the minimum salary in Mexico City for doctoral studies and research, postdoctoral fellowships.
Registration fees and tuitions
Health insurance (starting in the Seventh month of the scholarship)
Round-trip international airfare at the beginning and end of the scholarship.
National Transportation, Transportation from Mexico City to the host institution and back at the start and end of the scholarship, if studying outside of Mexico City.
Eligible Countries
The scholarship is open for citizens of 180 countries, so probably the chances are high you belong to one of those countries. (Check the list of eligible countries here).
Study Fields
There are over 3000 programs under the scheme of this scholarship that covers all academic levels from bachelor to postdoc.
Language Requirements
Please note, that most of programs offered by this scholarship are taught in English, so, If Spanish is not your native language, include certificate of an advanced level of proficiency in Spanish from a university or language center. You better consultant with the university of your choice to make sure the medium of instruction is in Spanish or English for any particular program.
Application procedure
1.Applications will be received in electronic format through the Academic Cooperation Management System (SIGCA) at (https://sigca.sre.gob.mx).
2. The registration of applications must be in Spanish.
3. The SIGCA portal will remain open to receive applications during the period from
May 16, starting at 18:00 hours, until June 28, 2024, at 15:00 hours Central Mexico
Time.
General Application Documents
A complete Application form duly signed.
A letter that explains your motivation to study in Mexico (Max 2 Pages).
An Updated CV (Should not exceed 3 pages).
Acceptance Letter from the Mexican Institute.
Copy of Birth certificate.
Copy of Valid Passport.
NOTE: Documents that are not in the Spanish language must be accompanied by a simple translation into Spanish on a separate sheet.
Documents must be submitted in PDF format in color.
The applicant’s signature on documents must match those on the passport.
