Location: United States or Canada
Host Institution: Any full-time STEM program at an MPOWER-eligible school
Study Level: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD
Target Group: Female international or DACA students (not U.S. citizens studying in the U.S. or Canadian citizens studying in Canada)
Fields of Study: Any STEM discipline (science, technology, engineering, mathematics)—excluding medical or nursing programs
Award Value:
Grand Prize: USD 6,000
Runner-Up: USD 2,000
Honorable Mention: USD 1,000
Award Duration: Single academic year grant

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Gender & Citizenship: Self-identify as female; be an international student or DACA in the U.S., or hold Canadian permanent residency or a study permit
Enrollment Status: Accepted or enrolled full-time in an MPOWER-supported STEM program at a university in the U.S. or Canada
Field of Study: Pursuing a degree in science, engineering, technology, or mathematics (excluding medical/nursing)
Minimum Age: At least 18 years old
Essay: Submit a compelling 200–500 word essay detailing how you'll advance STEM in the next decade and uplift women in the field
📝 Application Procedure
Online application form with personal details, school, immigration status, etc.
Required documents:
Admission letter or transcript
Proof of citizenship, gender, and immigration status (e.g., passport, study visa, DACA status)
Essay submission (200–500 words) on leadership, impact, and STEM goals
Submission confirmation, then await the selection outcome
📝 Selection Process
Evaluation of essays for clarity, vision, and demonstrated impact
Academic credentials or professional achievements considered
Impact potential via STEM research or innovations that benefit people and/or the planet
Role model evidence: past advocacy, mentorship, or leadership aimed at empowering women in STEM
