🎓NCCR Automation Fellowship Overview
The NCCR Automation Fellowship aims to promote international research collaboration and interdisciplinarity. Fellows will engage in a research exchange that broadens scientific horizons, expands personal networks, and boosts self-confidence. Participants will be hosted in Swiss research groups, receiving supervision, mentoring, and access to a stimulating research and social environment.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Currently enrolled in an education or research program complementary to the host research group.
Remain affiliated with the home institution throughout the fellowship.
PhD students and postdocs must continue receiving a salary from their home institution.
No prior study or employment at the hosting Swiss institution.

Application Procedure
Applicants must submit the following documents in PDF format via the online platform:
CV (max. 2 pages) with publications (if applicable)
Motivation letter for Master's students (max. 2 pages)
Research proposal for PhD students and postdocs (max. 2 pages)
Letter of support from home institution and supervisor
Copy of university degree(s) and/or transcripts
Selection of up to three research topics and three PIs within NCCR Automation
Declaration of any income or scholarships during the fellowship period
Review and Selection
Applications will be evaluated by an internal NCCR Automation committee based on the applicant's potential for research at NCCR Automation and alignment with the fellowship's goals. Successful and unsuccessful candidates will be notified in October 2025.
