If you're an early-career researcher passionate about public sector reform in the Global South, the New South Institute (NSI) invites you to apply for its 2025 Young Scholar Programme. This 12-month initiative is designed to empower emerging scholars through mentorship, research development, and professional networking. Applications are open until Friday, 30 May 2025.

The NSI Young Scholar Programme aims to cultivate a new generation of researchers dedicated to public sector reform. Participants will engage in activities such as:

  • Publications: Opportunities to publish in NSI Working Papers or partner journals.

  • Short Courses: Access specialized courses in collaboration with the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS).

  • Networking: Connect with professionals and peers in the field.

📝 Application Procedure

Required Documents:

  1. Abstract: A 300-word summary of your research interest or project.

  2. Short Bio: A two-page document detailing your academic background, leadership roles, achievements, and research ambitions.

  3. Letter of Recommendation: A one-page letter from a lecturer, departmental head, or institutional head (optional but advantageous).
